About

Novak Sanitary Service began in 1965 in greater Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a small residential garbage collection company with just one truck and one employee. Over more than six decades, the company has grown into one of Southeast South Dakota’s most trusted and full-service waste management providers, serving both residential and commercial customers across multiple counties including Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, and Turner. While its core service remains reliable garbage collection and recycling pickup, Novak Sanitary has expanded its offerings to include comprehensive waste solutions such as roll-off and dumpster rental for construction and industrial projects, commercial waste management tailored to business needs, yard waste pickup, and secure document shredding services that help both residents and businesses protect their privacy. The company emphasizes sustainability through its recycling programs, guides, and community education efforts designed to increase recycling participation and resource recovery. Guided by core operating values of safety, integrity, customer service, and employee satisfaction, Novak Sanitary focuses on dependable service, local engagement, and continuous improvement. Its team of trained professionals uses modern route optimization and support systems to ensure efficient service delivery while minimizing environmental impact. The company also actively supports local community events and outreach programs, reinforcing its identity as a locally operated business that cares about the neighborhoods it serves. With strong roots in the community and a commitment to environmental responsibility, Novak Sanitary Service remains a key partner in managing waste and recycling solutions for homes and businesses throughout southeast South Dakota.
